Daily challenges...

I have found that one of the greatest daily challenges of being a stay at home/school at home mom is never having that quite downtime. This isn't a post to complain, it's just an honest observation of the "clutter" I feel in my head. By nature I am not a person that tolerates a lot of noise and what I call "hyper energy"...I function much better with peace and quite. So, it's understandable that I might feel a smidge out of sorts after a looooong day, week, month or year of hearing...

"MOM", "Mom, can I...", "Mom, can you...", "Mom, I need...", "Mom, I can't...", "Where's Mom", "Mom, what's for lunch?, "Mom, are you making breakfast?', "Awwww, I don't want to...", "Mom, Andrew keeps...", "Mom, Kaitlyn is...", "Mom, are we doing school?", "Mom, can I watch T.V.?", "Mom, can I have...", "Mom, I want to read you something", "Mom, Knock, Knock", Mom, Guess What?", "Mom, you know what's funny?", "Hey Mom", "Mom...Mom...Mom..."

The kids aren't bad...or hard to take care of or love by any means. And I realize that I'm blessed beyond words...I do, I get it. I'm just saying...this happens to be just one of my daily challenges.

  1. I totally feel ya! It always amazes me when I see a homeschooling mom with more than one child to attend to...if find it hard with just one child.

  2. I easily could have written this :) I totally understand you here....it has been one of my near-constant challenges lately! I was blaming the "new year," but come to think of it, it's already Feb, huh? LOL :)

Candy....Yes! I'd love to get together sometime at the park. I haven't had a good "park day" in a very long time. There aren't many play-worthy parks on my end of town....all very small. Cottage Hill is probably the closest one to me. (I think, unless you know of a different one)

just let me know what place/day/time will work for you and we'll meet up soon :)
