Signs of Spring...

I love the fact that in our part of the country Spring starts to show much earlier then normal. Of course sometimes that's a bad thing, especially if a hard freeze happens to hit us and zaps the new growth. We enjoyed walking around the yard and catching little glimpses of new life...

My new beautiful pink camellia that I bought at the Botanical Gardens plant sale last March...I've still not planted it, luckily it still seems to be thriving.

Azalea

Red Camellia

Cherry Laurel...see the itty, bitty leaves?

Bridals Wreath

Bahia Rose I received from Andrew for Valentines Day

A favorite, Double Camellia
Mulberry Tree...I love this tree, but will hate it come Summer as the birds devour the fruit and poop ALL OVER my patio.
Purple Clover
Brand new wee little pine tree! This was an amazing seed and pine cone season...there are thousand of seedlings everywhere in our neighborhood.
Elephant Ear
Texas Blue Bell
I don't know the name of this tree, but it produces tons of pollen, cute little flowers and black berries...and the birds love this too!
Yellow Clover
Last but not least...moss...how can you forget the beauty of moss?

  1. Yes, I have also been seeing an influx of insects here.....another sign of an early spring, unfortunately. :-)
