Sunday...

Today we were awakened by the sound of quite. We all sleep with large fans blowing...so when the electricity went out our sleeping noise went out too. Normally I'd been ticked, but it was really close to the time I needed to get up anyway.

Kaitlyn came in and asked me "Where is that shovel?"..."I need the shovel to clean up the beach!". I was totally confused that thought she'd gone loony! Turns out she needed the dustpan (LOL) to clean up the sand from the hermit crab cage. This was the same hermit crab cage that was sitting on the piano earlier in the morning! It seems that some very naughty kitty discovered the crab...nuff said! Andrew woke up only to discover poor Jacob (the crab) hustling down the hallway with two very curious kitties following close behind. There's no telling how tormented that poor crab was in the wee early hours of the morning. His cage was put back together and he is resting safely behind the closed door of Kaitlyn's bedroom. Despite all the mess...we still love the kitties...but I do need to find a kitty detention room. I don't typically like to swat the backsides of critters...but in this case they both got a little swat with my broom as I swept up their mess!

The rest of the day was church...lunch at FooSacks...delicious ice cream on the porch with momma (thanks mom)...back to church for VBS training and home. I will now go and attempt to diligently work on my budget and upcoming week plans.

Kaitlyn is playing Sonic on the PlayStation and Andrew is attempting to build a roof on his tree house.

I would consider this day good. Yea!

  1. I have always heard that shaking pennies in a empty coke at them can works wonders on deterring cats when they are caught in the act.

  2. Poor Jacob!!! When we kept hermit crabs we would let them 'exercise' in the bathtub. It totally freaked my Granny out when she stayed with us!!!
