What did today hold in store for the Robins? Not much!
We took off pretty early to the library...I failed to remember that it's summer...I also failed to notice that it was the summer weekly program day. Needless to say there were quite a few kidren running a muck...the theme of the day seemed to be grab a book and place it somewhere else. Books were on the floor...children were loud...running...laughing...playing...I guess after being cooped up in a classroom or daycare all day it felt really good to be free! I've never liked summer at the library, the books are always picked over and the shelves empty. I guess even school critters deserve to read...I'll be looking forward to my regularly scheduled program to resume come September!
Target was next on the list for food...and zit medicine, yes, it seems that my teen is getting more and more of the dreaded plague of painful zits! We also hit the pet store for cat food and finally home where we resumed our school and chores for the day.
Another lackluster day called life.
I have more of those kind of days than I care to ponder myself. I agree with you about the libraries in the summer time...I steer clear.
ReplyDeleteDon't ya hate it when all the school folks run amuck! They ruin the zoo, the museum, the parks, the pool, the library, etc. etc. One of the reasons I am against 'all year' school...I like to know just exactly when I'm getting my town back!!
