This morning we were expecting a visit from the Re-Bath dude, Mr. Wendel. As I was walking past the bathroom heading to the laundry room I noticed the lid up on the toilet. My oldest was following close behind so I asked him to go close the lid on the "commode".
A few minute later I was folding towels in the laundry room and my oldest arrives and asked me where the "commode lid" was...lol, naturally I started laughing. I still didn't get that he didn't get what a commode was, I was thinking for some reason he was asking what the "lid" was. So I said, the toilet, you have the bowl, the seat and the the lid. He started laughing because he then realized where to find it!
I asked him where he'd been (to find the commode) and he said he ran to the kitchen looking for something with a lid...he thought I might have meant a pot on the stove, except they were all closed. Then he saw the water cooler with the lid off, but it read "Igloo" on the side, so it couldn't be a commode.
Silly boy...it still makes me giggle. "Commode" = "Toilet"...who knew?
