Road trip through Tennessee...

I love mountains and I love valleys and of course Tennessee has plenty of both. I've often wondered what life might be like living in the mountains...don't' know if I'm cut out for mountain living or not...but it's still fun to dream :~)

Being southern folk and not accustom to extreme cold, we were fascinated by the icicles hanging from the mountainside.

Here we are at the local welcome center...the air was brisk, but we didn't mind.

The kids were enthralled with the rock protruding from the ground...I must admit that I thought it was pretty cool too!

Little sis stopped for a moment so I could catch a shot...

Andrew is fascinated by any crevice, cave or hole...nothing was hiding in there, but he had to check it out anyway.

Not surprisingly, this will be only one of the two pictures of me and hubby together. Aren't we the happy couple? The answer would be a definite yes!

Although blurry, I love this picture of my two favorite guys.

Look at little sis, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE that genuine smile. We have so many challenging moments with her that to get this blast of happiness and sunshine is just nothing short of a blessing.

We just had to stop and get a good shot of the icicles...aren't they cool (literally)...hee, hee.

And of course, who could resist a taste of pure, natural organic icicles?

We all enjoyed a taste...

...but found that the didn't last nearly as long in the warmth of the car and quickly had to be tossed.

Don't you just love tanker trucks? See us? There's my new car!
