Andrew had a SAR beacon search early this morning with the Civil Air Patrol...
24 hour pack filled and ready to go...
The original SAR was cancelled due to the storm. But they made a backup plan and he still had fun.
While I was posting my little nervous mommy meltdown post Andrew and his buddy were outside living in the moment, instead of worrying about the future...something I need to work on. Today they decided to build a fort...or shelter. They spent a few hours cutting tree branches and stripping leaves...it looked pretty good!
The view of the front...
A side view...
Of course a picture of the builder goofballs!
What a couple of nuts...I'm glad they had a good time, no harm was done and luckily they prefer to be here at our house instead of someplace else...for that I am thankful!
As I was returning to the house I saw Daisy doing what Daisy does best...chase squirrels!

Thought this was a freaky shot...

Oh...and that patio I posted about yesterday...here it is littered with Mulberries from the PITA tree...
My windows are once again open, the pollen has been washed away after yesterdays rain...the coolness feels great after needing to run the a/c the last couple of nights...it's a great day!
Lucas called me today and told me about the storm. He said it was the worst storm he can remember...besides a hurricane that is. He said he was actually scared in his apartment all by himself...must have been pretty bad.
ReplyDeleteDaisy looks like a coyote in that pic. :-)
