This was really the better picture of them all, and someone else took it. You know when you go on a field trip with a group you never get pictures of just your kiddos...it's everybody crowded around the current viewing object. Besides, Kaitlyn took my camera and took tons of helicopter control panels...lol.
.This is the scene later this afternoon...we chose Big Creek Lake to break in and enjoy our very first boat ride on our very first boat!
Needless to say, a great time was had!
Even "I" in ALL my hideous glory took a turn driving...I will be honest and say that I very much enjoy riding better than driving. It was a lot more challenging than I thought!
We were also good Samaritans and towed our first stranded boater...and a surely hope that if we ever become stranded that someone will do the same for us. That happens to be a huge fear of mine...I hate being stranded, on land is bad enough, (when your car breaks down!), on water would be grounds for a serious panic attack! We did contemplate buying used, but decided to get a new boat instead...not that things can't go wrong with new, but less often for sure! I like that wee little extra security it brings my soul!
For our nature we saw a hawk, a turtle sunning, a duck enjoying a refreshing dip and two bald eagles flying over the trees. My favorite part is going out in the middle of nowhere, turning off the engine and enjoying the peace and quite...so awesome!
We're planning another boat outing on Monday!
Oh...and because I love my Annie Bell, here is another cute one! Look at that face!
Oh yes, I am definitely envious of the new boat! If I had enough space in this comment box to tell you about my stranded in the middle of nowhere boat story I would...scary!
ReplyDeleteMark me as envious also!!! The photos of y'all on the water are turning me green...with, you know..envy.
