Saturday...

Today was a much needed restful kind of day. I didn't leave my designated sleeping area until almost 11:00...I could have stayed in bed much longer but thought I could hear the low rumble of hungry tummies calling :~)

After a grilled chicken w/ homemade smashed tator and salad lunch the rest of the day was spent chill-laxing with the kiddos.

I did manage to hop in the pool...and didn't tell the kids I was going, HA! They did eventually find me out and join but I had already had a nice time sunning by myself. There's something about pool water that causes my kids to want to stick like leaches...mom or dad can never be in the pool without them attached!

After pool time we decided to have dinner and watch Toy Story. I always loved that movie and hadn't watched it in years. It was Andrew's all time favorite when he was a little tike around 2...I always fed him chicken noodle with stars for dinner while he watched it and he ate great...unlike now! The only drawback to movie time was our Toy Story is on VHS...honestly I've not watched anything on VHS for years and for good reason! Our video player is horrible and about halfway through the movie started acting up, rolling and losing volume. We really wanted to finish the movie and persevered through...but I'm thinking I'm going to search out and buy a Toy Story on DVD. Sometimes technology improvements can be awesome...and DVDs are definitely on my awesome list! I think tomorrow I'll clean out the movie cabinet and chunk the VHS tapes...along with the VHS player!
