Today was the start of something new for us. We were all a bit apprehensive, me about the time and commitment...little bit, because of the time, commitment and doing something boring and the oldest I think because of the unknown and perhaps having to put yourself out there for new friends.
Little bit is taking Alabama History, Astronomy...topped with a way cool Astronomy club, Literature...then it's off to lunch and chapel...then we hit P.E., Geography and Scripture Adventures (that's the one we'll change).
The oldest is taking Physical Science, a Dave Ramsey consumer math class, World History, Computer Programming, Yearbook and Theater (we'll be changing that to Art History).
I am happy to report that we had a great day...tiring...somewhat confusing...oh, and there was that one incident where little bit got pushed and hurt her knee (she recovered)...then there was the class that was a little to "littleish" for her (we'll fix that one)...but all in all this will be a great outing for us on Mondays. Even though I'm pretty relaxed in the schooling department, I'm thankful for an opportunity to expose the kids to different subjects that I quite honestly could give a hoot about. I don't really care if they "make the grade" ...I'm more interested in them just enjoying the moment...who knows, perhaps this will spark and interest and lead them to another path. If not...we've enjoyed it anyway and met some new friends too.
