Another Sunday...another great worship with a guest singer and band with no name that totally rocked the stage. And then...there was the dude (not a child) behind me that liked to talk to his buddy (this was the same buddy that snored rather loudly two weeks ago) through the singing and announcements...and since he was talking through the singing and announcements, he had to talk loud to be heard...or at least to hear himself. I gave him my best evil eye...and head shake and was just millimeters close to shushing him...and I also thought of moving...except that is my seat, and I didn't want to have to move due to his lack of respect...but I held strong and just sat there annoyed and stewing in my pot.
Service continued...and eventually I was able to forget about him and enjoy the message. But guess who decided to converse during prayer? PRAYER?!? Yep, it was he...totally talking, holding a full conversation during prayer...and not quietly I might add. Just how am I suppose to ignore that?
Sometimes I wonder if mommas ever teach their offspring manners...even if you've never attended service at a church, I think it is respectful that should you choose to attend you watch and follow the protocol of the congregation...and if you are a regular attendee, then shame on you for talking during worship. There is plenty of opportunity to converse before or after service...and there are chairs outside the main worship area in which you could sit and talk should you prefer to gab instead of worship...we've even added a t.v. with the service for your convenience.
Oh...don't even ask me about the two ladies who laughed, talked and giggled all the while serving holy communion two weeks ago! Shame on you too!
If church isn't your thing, so be it...but if you're attending with people whose thing it is, paaalease show some respect!
Don't you know you have to go to church to get to heaven?? It doesn't matter how you act in church as long as you attend. :-)
